Synchroblogging FAQs

What the heck is a synchroblog?

A synchroblog is when a group of people all write about the same topic and post it to their personal blogs.

How do I participate?

When you see the posted topic, start writing.  When you’re finished, you have a couple of options:

  1. Post your link on the UNCO Facebook page and make sure to tag Debra Avery, Megan Dosher Hansen or Mindi Welton-Mitchell.
  2. Tweet your link to @UNCOTweet and cc: @jazzpastord @revmindi or @megateer. Also use #unco15 if you can.
  3. Email it to
  4. Type the post in triplicate, using only the finest carbon paper, roll one copy into a carrier pigeon tube, strap it on to the little birdy’s leg and send him flying to Oakland, The Woodlands or Seattle.

On the 1st of each month, we will compile all the links and post them here. It would be great if you could include this synchroblog link in your original post so others can see it and link to other bloggers.  (Thus, synchro.)

Can I make a video instead of writing a post?

Of course! Videos, photos, song recordings are all welcome. Either embed the media into a blog post and send us that link, or send us the link to the media.

I’m not part of UNCO, can I write a post?

We …..

I don’t have a blog, can I still participate?

If you don’t have a blog but would like to participate, please send us an email at and we’ll work something out!
